The 4G/LTE GSM gate opener is a remote control system designed to manage the opening and closing of automatic gates via mobile network, without the use of remote controls.
By inserting a SIM card into the device, you can open the gate simply by making a call from your phone: the system recognizes the authorized number and sends the command to the control unit. The call is automatically rejected, so there are no costs .
This solution is ideal for remote access, such as allowing entry to couriers, suppliers, or visitors, improving convenience and security.
GSM/4G control system based on the SIMCom A7682E module, designed for integration with an electric gate opening system.
The system offers the ability to manage users remotely by sending SMS messages (requiring an authentication password) or locally via a PC, using the optional FT782M interface and dedicated configuration software. The system's power supply can range from 9 to 32 VDC.
The package includes the device already assembled and tested with the A7682E GSM/4G module and a GSM antenna in stylus format with connection cable.
The device allows the control of the relay output contact both in monostable mode (door opener button type) and in bistable mode (with confirmation via SMS) to also be able to manage the activation of remote loads (lights, pumps, automations, heating etc.)
Important! To access the service and call areas covered by 4G LTE, you must have a SIM card with data and voice traffic compatible with VoLTE technology. Please contact your mobile provider to ensure that this technology is available for your SIM card. Without this service, remote control will only work in SMS mode.
THE PLASTIC CONTAINER FOR THIS DEVICE IS ALSO AVAILABLE, code BOXTDG134

Package Contents
SIMCom's 4G module
The GSM/4G module marked A7682E is produced by SIMCom: it is essentially a Quad-band mobile phone compatible with GSM/GPRS and 4G/LTE, without a display, microphone, speaker and keyboard, operating on the frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900MHz, usable both for Internet access and for voice communication, ordinary phone calls and SMS.
It is contained in a 19.6x19.6x2.4 mm LCC+LGA type package, with the contacts placed under the body, which implies soldering with hot air jet or in special reflow soldering machines.
The SIMCom A7682E is an LTE Cat 1 module that supports LTE-FDD/GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless communication modes; more precisely, LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20. It supports a maximum downlink speed of 10 Mbps and an uplink speed of 5 Mbps. In EDGE mode, the Uplink/Downlink speeds are up to 236.8 kbps and in GPRS Uplink/Downlink speeds are up to 85.6 kbps.
The A7682E adopts a form factor compatible with SIM800C, SIM868 series (GSM/GPRS modules), which enables smooth migration from 2G to LTE devices and greatly simplifies design.
The A7682E module supports built-in network protocols TCP, IP, IPV4, IPV6, Multi-PDP, FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, as well as SSL communication security protocol.
It has drivers for major operating systems (USB drivers for Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Linux, and Android). It has RIL support for Android 5.0/6.0/7.0/8.0/9.0 and firmware updates via USB/FOTA.
The AT commands are compatible with the SIM800 series modules, so both the standard ATs and most of those from the proprietary SIMCom enhanced AT set.
Furthermore, the A7682E integrates the main industrial standard interfaces, with powerful expandability, including numerous interfaces such as UART, USB 2.0, I²C-Bus, GPIO, suitable for main IOT applications such as telematics, surveillance devices, industrial routers and remote diagnostics, etc. The module is powered by a DC voltage of between 3.4 and 4.2 V (typically 3.8 V) and consumes a maximum of 0.8 A in transmission.
FAQ
The device does not respond to messages. When sending a message, the LEDs do not indicate that the message has been received.
Check that there is credit on the remote control SIM. If there is, disable RCS chat on your smartphone. To disable RCS chat, go to "Messages > Message Settings > RCS Chat" (If you don't see this menu, refer to your phone's manual to disable the feature).
