The female USB-A socket supplies approximately 5 V stabilized , with a 5% tolerance. The available current depends on the dynamo and driving conditions: up to approximately 500 mA with a standard dynamo and up to 800 mA with a dynamo of adequate power . Compatibility and charging speed also depend on the requirements of the connected device.
The switch allows you to choose whether to direct the dynamo's power to the bike lights or to USB charging. Simultaneous use of lights and device charging is not permitted. The LED indicates the presence of voltage generated by the dynamo.
Follow the manual and illustrations for connection and assembly. When properly installed, the device is suitable for use in the rain. The product sheet also includes use with 24–36 V e-bike batteries: for this connection, follow the instructions in the manual.
Devices with connectors other than micro USB require a compatible cable, which must be purchased separately. The presence of a USB port does not guarantee charging for every device: check that the power requirements are compatible with the available output.
You can use a compatible USB backup battery, not included , to provide a power reserve. Check the operating modes of the backup battery you choose.
