MANUAL

EM4100 RFID reader with 125KHz antenna and output on RS232 TTL or Wiegand W26 protocol selectable by jumper during installation.

Ideal for use in PCs (via RS232 to RS232 TTL converters), embedded systems, prototyping boards and systems such as Arduino , Raspeberry PI, Banana PI.

The device is always waiting for the EM4100 card, key fob or RFID device and once the reading has been carried out on first approach, it returns the code ready on the RS232 TTL UART interface or on Wiegand W26.

It has two signaling LEDs: red LED on and green LED card reading. It also has a 4-pin connector with 4-wire connector supplied.

Code output protocol selectable via jumper jumper such as UART RS 232 TTL or Wiegand W26.

RS232 TTL UART PROTOCOL

Output data on serial 9600 8N1 with HEX characters, card code in A SCI I character format with 1 start vyte, 2 checksum bytes (HEX format in A SCI I characters), 1 stop byte.

Example

With the UART the device can be connected to systems with a normal RS232 TTL interface. In this mode the reader only transmits RS232 data when reading the tag. For arduino refer to the RS232 serial libraries.
