MecPM WiFi Smart Meter bill consumption meter for electricity meter

MecPM is a device which, once applied to any traditional electronic electricity meter, allows you to have instant information on the current consumption of homes and offices on your smartphone and on a free monitoring web portal. The device is applied to the flashing light (optical metrological interface) of the electronic meters installed by the electricity distribution body to obtain the amount of the customer's bill.

Thanks to this device you will be able to autonomously ascertain how much consumption you have in the various days and the temporal variation of them in the various hours of the day, with data updated in real time every 10 seconds. This is to optimize consumption and limit the cost of your bill.

Strengths

Very simple installation thanks to the removable adhesive velcro included, it does not require any system intervention (Note: the presence of an electric plug and a WiFi network near the meter is required)

Power supply via USB cable . Also included is a USB power supply with which you can power the device with a normal electrical plug. You can also use a Power Bank or a rechargeable solar panel as it uses a normal USB port

How does the device work?

The device is based on the optical reading of the flashing light present in all electronic electricity meters

How to install?

Just apply the adhesive velcro on the meter following the instructions in our manual. The Velcro keeps the sensor of the device aligned with the flashing light of the counter.

What can I check?

With the device you can monitor wherever you are the instantaneous consumption in W or kW and the kWh accumulated over the various days. All can be consulted with convenient interactive graphics both from the web page and from the APP for Android / iOS smartphones

What do I need to check to be able to buy it

Check that where you have the counter to be monitored there is a 2.4GHz WiFi network equipped with internet and a USB or 220V plug (the USB power supply is included). If there is no plug, you can also evaluate the use of a normal USB Power Bank to be charged periodically.

Which meters is it compatible with?

The device is compatible with all electronic meters equipped with a flashing LED that indicates consumption. The product is configured by default to manage domestic meters with 1000 imp / kWh and transformation constant 1. In the case of industrial plants with different imp / kwh values or different transformation constants, just contact us to apply the right measurement constants. For safety, you can still contact us by sending a photo of the meter, so we can correctly verify compatibility.

I have a photovoltaic system, can I monitor the production of my system?

If you have the production meter, yes. You can decide to apply the device on the production meter to check and monitor the production of your system. If you still want a monitoring system for production, domestic consumption and grid injection/withdrawal, we recommend that you contact us to evaluate the best solution.

I have more than one meter, can I monitor them together?

Of course. The device interfaces with your account via a unique name, so you can add as many devices as you like (one per meter) and we can configure the ready-to-use portal for you to monitor both separately and in a combined way the consumption measured by multiple meters, even located in different places.

Is the cloud data logging service free?

Absolutely yes. The consumption data generated by the device both as instantaneous power in the various hours of the day and as kWh in the various days are recorded and kept directly in the emoncms.eu cloud service. The portal has no monthly or annual cost and is free for life.
