This power supply supports the installation of a 24V UPS lead-acid battery (two 12V lead-acid batteries in series) with FASTON connectors of various capacities to obtain a power supply with an integrated UPS Backup and capable of powering the connected devices even in the event of a blackout or power failure for a variable time depending on the capacity of the installed battery and the absorption of the load connected to the power supply.

BATTERY AH CALCULATION

To calculate the best battery capacity for your needs with this power supply, you need to perform this calculation:

Battery capacity (Ah) = load absorption (A) x time in hours without power supply (h)

For example, to power a load that draws 0.5A (500mA) for 14 hours in the absence of a 230V mains power supply, a 24V lead battery with a capacity of 7 Ah is required, i.e. a battery with the next highest commercial capacitive value: Lead 24V 7.2Ah.

To increase the capacity, it is possible to place several EQUAL batteries in parallel by adding their respective capacities.

For example, to obtain a 24V battery with a capacity of 14.4Ah, you need to connect two 12V 7.2Ah batteries in series to obtain a 24V 7.2Ah battery. Repeat this operation with two more identical batteries to obtain two 24V 7.2Ah battery packs. Finally, connect the two battery packs in parallel to obtain a single 24V battery with a capacity of 14.4Ah. The battery modules must be identical to minimize the differences in voltage and capacity between the cells.
