Two-way remote control system based on the SIMCom A7682E GSM/4G module that allows activation and control through the use of SMS and calls on the GSM network.
The device is compatible with 4G radio links, thus ensuring full coverage where the old 2G/3G network has been decommissioned. This GSM remote control system is equipped with two relay outputs, which can operate in monostable or bistable mode, and two opto-isolated alarm inputs.
Up to 8 numbers can be stored for alarm transmission and up to 200 numbers for gate opening. All system settings can be configured via SMS or, optionally, via a local PC interface using the FT782M interface.
The GSM remote control system's power supply can vary from 9 to 32 VDC, with a maximum current draw of 1A (power supply not included). The package includes the device already assembled and tested with the A7682E GSM/4G module and a GSM antenna with connection cable.
This two-way remote control system allows you to control boilers or other devices connected to it, even if it does not have a specific function for temperature control.
Important! To access the service and call areas covered by 4G LTE, you must have a SIM card with data and voice traffic compatible with VoLTE technology. Please contact your mobile provider to ensure that this technology is available for your SIM card. Without this service, remote control will only work in SMS mode.
In SMS mode:
– Burglar alarm systems for residential and industrial buildings
– Anti-theft systems for vehicles
– Air conditioning/heating system checks
– Checking pumps and irrigation systems
– Industrial plant control
– Boiler check
In voice call / gate opener mode (Output 1):
– Opening gates
– Gate control
– Reset circuits

The GSM/4G module signed A7682E is produced by SIMCom: it is essentially a Quad-band mobile phone compatible with GSM/GPRS and 4G/LTE, operating on the frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900MHz, usable for both Internet access and voice communication, ordinary phone calls and SMS.
It is contained in a 19.6x19.6x2.4 mm LCC+LGA type package, with the contacts placed under the body, which implies soldering with hot air jet or in special reflow soldering machines.
The SIMCom A7682E is an LTE Cat 1 module that supports LTE-FDD/GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless communication modes; more precisely, LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20. It supports a maximum downlink speed of 10 Mbps and an uplink speed of 5 Mbps. In EDGE mode, the Uplink/Downlink speeds are up to 236.8 kbps and in GPRS Uplink/Downlink speeds are up to 85.6 kbps.
The A7682E adopts a form factor compatible with SIM800C, SIM868 series (GSM/GPRS modules), which enables smooth migration from 2G to LTE devices and greatly simplifies design.
The A7682E module supports built-in network protocols TCP, IP, IPV4, IPV6, Multi-PDP, FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, as well as SSL communication security protocol.
It has drivers for major operating systems (USB drivers for Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Linux, and Android). It has RIL support for Android 5.0/6.0/7.0/8.0/9.0 and firmware updates via USB/FOTA.
The AT commands are compatible with the SIM800 series modules, so both the standard ATs and most of those from the proprietary SIMCom enhanced AT set.
Furthermore, the A7682E integrates the main industrial standard interfaces, with powerful expandability, including numerous interfaces such as UART, USB 2.0, I²C-Bus, GPIO, suitable for the main IOT applications such as telematics, surveillance devices, industrial routers and remote diagnostics, etc. The module is powered by a DC voltage of 3.4 to 4.2 V (typically 3.8 V) and consumes a maximum of 0.8 A.
on air.
SMS commands allow you to manage the password and authorized numbers, configure alarm notifications, and customize the messages for the two inputs. They also allow you to set alarm conditions and observation and inhibition times.
It is possible to control the two relay outputs in bistable or timed mode, query the device status, set the relay reset after a blackout and manage the numbers enabled for the gate opener function.
Depending on the firmware and installed accessories, additional features such as periodic reports and notifications for power on, power failure, and power restoration are available. For syntax, parameters, and requirements for individual commands, see the product manual.
The device does not respond to messages. When sending a message, the LEDs do not indicate that the message has been received.
Check that there is credit on the remote control SIM. If there is, disable RCS chat on your smartphone. To disable RCS chat, go to "Messages > Message Settings > RCS Chat" (If you don't see this menu, refer to your phone's manual to disable the feature).
