This Shield supports outputs of 3V/1A and 5V/2.2A, with high efficiency and the ability to use up to two 18650 lithium batteries.
This Shield Power Bank for 18650 lithium batteries represents a portable power supply that can be easily integrated into your electronic projects.
The Shield has two voltage outputs: 3V/1A and 5V/ 2.2A. The 5V output is rated at 2.2A and can support a maximum of 3A (overcharging is not recommended, as it may damage the module and shorten its life). The output current depends on the type of 18650 batteries used.
To charge the two 18650 lithium cells, you need to connect a 5V (min 1A) USB power supply to the USB input of the board. The charging current via the Micro USB port varies between 600mA and 800mA. The module supports up to two 18650 batteries and it is recommended to use two for longer life.
Output voltage is available on several contacts on both sides of the module, as well as on a standard USB-A port.
The Shield, as well as a switch, it is equipped with a slide selector that allows you to select between two operating modes:
In NORMAL mode, the integrated DC-DC converter turns off after approximately 10 seconds if the output current drops below 30mA.
In HOLD mode, the output remains active until the batteries run out.
