The Shield Power Bank is a compact module designed to provide portable power for electronic projects, prototypes, microcontrollers, sensors, and 3V or 5V powered devices.
The module has 2 x 18650 slots .
IMPORTANT: 18650 batteries are not included. The product for sale is only the Shield Power Bank module.
Two output voltages are available:
3V / 1A
5V / 3A max
The 5V output has a nominal current of about 2.2A and can support up to a maximum of 3A .
Continuous use of the module under overload conditions is not recommended, as this may cause damage to the module or reduce its lifespan.
Outputs are available through various contacts on the sides of the board and through a standard USB-A port .
The module features:
Micro USB
USB Type-C
The expected input voltage is 5V DC and a 5V/1A or higher power supply is recommended.
The current through the Micro USB input is approximately between 600 and 800mA .
There are also 4 LEDs to indicate the operating status.
The Shield has a switch and a NORMAL/HOLD slide switch .
NORMAL: The built-in DC-DC converter is automatically turned off after about 10 seconds when the current drawn by the load drops below 30mA .
HOLD: The output remains active even with a current draw below 30mA , as long as a load is present. If there is no load, the device automatically turns off after a few seconds.
HOLD mode is especially useful for sensors, microcontrollers, and low-power electronic circuits .
