MOXA TCC-80 – RS-232 to RS-422/RS-485 Converter
The MOXA TCC-80 is a professional serial converter designed to connect devices with an RS-232 interface to industrial equipment using RS-422 or RS-485 communications.
It supports 2-wire RS-485 half-duplex and 4-wire RS-422/RS-485 full-duplex communications, making it particularly suitable for industrial automation, PLC, supervision systems, data acquisition, instrumentation, access control and equipment equipped with serial communication.
A particularly useful feature of the TCC-80 is the ability to operate using power drawn directly from the RS-232 port, without necessarily requiring an external power supply. If the serial port is unable to provide sufficient power, an external 5-12 VDC power supply can still be used.
RS-485 transmission direction is automatically managed via ADDC (Automatic Data Direction Control), eliminating the need for software to switch between transmission and reception. It supports serial speeds from 300 bps up to 115.2 kbps.
The DIP switches on the device allow you to configure the RS-422/RS-485 mode and line termination.
