This module allows to avoid the evening and night discharge current of the batteries in systems with small photovoltaic panels. In fact, in photovoltaic panels such a device is always necessary to prevent the photovoltaic panels from absorbing current from the batteries during the hours of non-production, inevitably wasting precious energy. It works like a diode, but compared to traditional diodes this module has a voltage loss during the daily phase of only 0.35V (at 300mA load) from the voltage supplied by the photovoltaic panel. This allows for a higher efficiency of the system with lower energy losses.
The maximum current supported by the module during daily work is 1.5A.
