MecPC WiFi smart meter counter with 4 pulse inputs

MecPC is a device that allows you to have instant information on consumption or entry of meters equipped with an S0 type impulsive interface on your smartphone and on a free monitoring web portal. The device connects directly to the pulse output of the meter. It supports a maximum of 4 pulse signals which can have measurement constants independent of each other.

Strengths

Power supply via USB cable. A USB power supply is also included with which you can power the device with a normal electrical plug. You can also use a Power Bank or a rechargeable solar panel as it uses a regular USB port

It connects to any existing WiFi network equipped with internet. The initial configuration of the network takes place with a convenient procedure directly via smartphone

4 inputs for pulse interfaces

The device has 4 inputs that can be connected to pulsed meter output interfaces. The pulse is detected when the respective contact is closed towards ground. It is therefore ideal for meters with S0 pulse output, flow meters, gas and water meters with pulse output.

Compatible with all meters and meters equipped with pulse output

The measurement constants are set free of charge upon customer request when the device is first activated and can be modified at any time directly online from the portal.

Monitor everything

The device is compatible with various types of meters: electric, gas, water, flow, people counting and much more. It can be applied to any device that emits a pulse (shorting the two electrical wires of the input channel for an instant). Requires an open collector type output (S0 type).

Control your data wherever you are thanks to the cloud service

The cloud monitoring service on the www.emoncms.eu platform is included in the price without any subscription costs, the service can be used both from the Web and from the App for iOS or Android. The portal configuration is included in the price of the product.

IDEAS OF USE

In addition to energy measurement, MecPC can also be used for many other uses, one independent for each input of the 4 available:

·        If used with a photocell or a mechanical passage sensor (not included), it can act as a people counter or passage counter with data being sent directly to the cloud and the possibility of dividing passages into times and days.

·        If connected to a wind sensor (not included) with pulse output it can make a datalog of the wind speed

·        If connected to a rain gauge with a tilting outlet (not included) it can count the rain that has fallen

·        When applied to a photodiode (not included) it can detect the presence or absence of light or measure electrical power in meters equipped with a pulsed metric optical output

·        If connected to a REED sensor (not included) you can detect the rotations of a wheel and make a datalog of this speed over time
