ATC-105 Serial Converter with Optical Isolation
The ATC-105 is a compact and cost-effective RS232 to RS422/RS485 converter featuring optocoupler-optical galvanic isolation between the interfaces. It allows you to connect RS422 or RS485 devices to an RS232 serial port.
The female DB9 connector can be inserted directly into the male DB9 of a DTE port, such as that of a PC. The RS422/RS485 interface is available on 4 terminals , for wiring the serial lines.
Mode of operation
You can select RS422 or RS485 mode and DTE or DCE operation. The converter supports half-duplex or full-duplex asynchronous communications. In RS485, transmission switching is automatic and transparent to connected devices.
Insulation and protections
The ATC-105 version uses optical isolation between RS232 and RS422/RS485, with rated values of 3500 Vrms / 500 V DC . It integrates 600 W surge protection on RS422/RS485 and 15 kV electrostatic discharge protection on RS232 .
