ATC-108N RS232 to RS485/RS422 Serial Converter

The ATC-108N converts an RS232 channel into a differential RS422 or RS485 interface. Compatible with RS232C, RS422, and RS485 standards, it allows you to connect serial devices in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations.

Galvanic isolation and TVS protection

Built-in galvanic isolation provides 3500V isolation voltage between the RS232 port and the RS422/485 interface. TVS suppressors, with 1000W of protection power, help protect the interface from transient voltage surges and electrostatic discharges.

RS485 automatic direction control

The internal circuitry detects the data direction and automatically switches the RS485 driver, without requiring handshake signals such as RTS. The conversion is transparent to connected devices and does not require software changes to manage the transmission direction.
