ATC-109N serial repeater for RS422 and RS485 networks
The ATC-109N is an interface repeater designed to extend the communication distance and the number of devices that can be connected to an RS422/RS485 network. It allows the network to be extended beyond the reference limits of 1200 m and 32 devices per segment specified by the EIA specification by dividing it into segments connected via the repeater.
Galvanic isolation and surge protection
The device integrates galvanic isolation up to 3500 V and 1000 W surge protection on both sides . These features help protect serial interfaces from electrical disturbances in automation and control networks.
Three modes of communication
- RS422 4-wire, full duplex: simultaneous communication in both directions.
- RS485 2-wire, half duplex: Alternate transmission and reception on the same pair of wires.
- From RS422 4-wire to RS485 2-wire, half duplex: connection between interfaces with different wiring configurations.
