Three relay outputs for your Raspberry Pi projects

The RPi Relay Board is an expansion board with three independent relays for controlling electrical loads from Raspberry Pi. It's suitable for home automation, automation, and control projects, with terminal connections and LED indicators to check the output status.

Main features

  • 3 relays with COM, NO and NC contacts.
  • Maximum declared contact rating: 5 A at 250 V AC or 5 A at 30 V DC.
  • One PC817 optocoupler for each control input.
  • Status LEDs for relays and power LEDs.
  • 3 jumpers to select control via the default GPIOs or via custom pins and external connections.
  • 5V power supply via the Raspberry Pi connector.
  • Card dimensions: 65.15 × 56.21 mm. Approximate weight: 59 g.

Raspberry Pi Compatibility

Standard 40-pin GPIO interface: Hardware compatibility with Raspberry Pi A+, B+, 2B, 3B, 3B+, 3A+, 4B and 5. Also usable with Zero, Zero W and Zero 2 W with a soldered GPIO connector; check dimensions and mounting.

On Raspberry Pi 5, you need to use GPIO libraries compatible with the RP1 controller and the installed operating system. Older examples based on wiringPi, WebIOPi, or bcm2835 may require adaptation and are not guaranteed to work on all models. Also check the available space for heat sinks, fans, and enclosures.

Use and installation

The output contacts allow you to open or close an external circuit. The actual capacity depends on the type of load: specific sizing is required for motors, inductive loads, or high inrush currents. Operating at mains voltage requires qualified installation, protection, and a suitable enclosure.

Raspberry Pi not included.
