GSM/PSTN Telephone Dialer for Burglar Alarm with SMS, Voice Calls and Remote Control

The GSM/PSTN Telephone Dialer is a multifunctional device designed for the management of burglar alarm systems, alarm signals and remote control of electrical and electronic equipment .

A single device allows you to receive notifications via SMS and voice calls , use the traditional PSTN telephone line and remotely control devices such as boilers, automatic gates, lighting, shutters and automation systems .

The device supports the Quad-Band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz mobile network and the analog PSTN telephone line. The two modes can be used together or separately.

GSM AND PSTN TELEPHONE DIALLER

Connected to a burglar alarm control panel, sensors or other equipment, the dialer can automatically react to an alarm signal by carrying out programmed actions.

Depending on the input used, it can:

• send alarm SMS;
• make telephone calls;
• play recorded voice messages;
• use the GSM and/or PSTN network;
• report different types of events;
• notify input status changes.

Up to 20 locations are available for storing telephone numbers , with dedicated positions for SMS and calls.

4 INPUTS FOR ALARMS AND EVENTS

The combiner has 4 independent trigger inputs .

Trigger 1 – positive activation +12V
By supplying +12V to the input for at least 3 seconds, the device can send SMS and make calls via GSM/PSTN with voice message playback.

Trigger 2 – positive activation +12V
Second independent input that can be used to manage a different type of alarm or event.

Trigger 3 – negative GND activation
Activation by grounding the input allows calls to be made via the PSTN line with message playback. If the PSTN is unavailable, the device can send notification via GSM SMS.

Trigger 4 – negative GND activation
Allows you to send a notification SMS when the input status changes.

This last function is particularly useful for creating, for example, a power failure alarm , using a suitable external relay.

To report a blackout, it is necessary to keep the combiner powered via a buffer battery or external UPS .

REMOTE CONTROL VIA SMS

The combiner can also be used as a GSM remote control system, allowing you to control equipment remotely via simple SMS.

It can be used for:

• turn a boiler on or off;
• check the heating;
• control lights;
• open gates;
• check shutters;
• control relays;
• activate electronic equipment;
• manage automation systems.

3 OUTPUTS CONTROLLED BY SMS

Output 1 – impulse command

Activated via SMS with a pulse of approximately 2 seconds .

The output provides a negative during activation and can control an external 12V DC relay, not supplied.

Output 2 – pulse or ON/OFF

It can function as a timed button for about 2 seconds or as an ON/OFF switch , making it ideal for boilers, lights and other equipment.

Output 3 – pulse or ON/OFF

It allows you to independently control a second appliance with impulsive or ON/OFF operation.

GATE OPENER BY MISSED CALL

A fourth output is dedicated to the practical GSM gate opener function.

By calling the device from a previously authorized number, the dialer recognizes the caller and activates the relay for approximately 3 seconds .

The call is immediately hung up without an answer, allowing you to use your phone as a remote control for the gate.

The relay has contacts:

• C – Municipality
• NA – Normally Open
• NC – Normally Closed

It is therefore possible to connect it to the low voltage control inputs of numerous automatic gate control units.

The function can be enabled or disabled individually for stored numbers, up to a maximum of 20 numbers .

TWO-WAY AUDIO – TALK AND LISTEN

Thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker , remote audio monitoring of the installation location is possible.

During an authorized GSM call you can use the listen-only mode or the two-way talk/listen communication.

The feature can only be enabled for authorized telephone numbers.

CUSTOMIZABLE VOICE MESSAGES AND SMS

The dialer allows you to record 2 voice messages , which are played automatically during alarm calls.

The default SMS can also be modified by the user to immediately identify the type of event, for example:

• intrusion alarm;
• technical alarm;
• lack of electricity;
• garage alarm;
• input state change.

LCD DISPLAY AND KEYBOARD

The device has a backlit LCD display and integrated keyboard , which allow you to directly carry out the main configuration operations.

Sensitive functions are password protected to prevent access and control by unauthorized users.

REMOTE MONITORING

Via SMS you can manage various functions of the device, including:

• check the status of the inputs;
• check the status of the outputs;
• activation and deactivation of alarm inputs;
• remote control of outputs;
• system health monitoring.
